The Emancipation Proclamation was set in effect on January,1,1863 this was pretty much the boost of the civil war. Because the north was against slavery and the south was for it . The south and the north had many diffrences like the crops they grew north grew more food like corn wheat etc. South grew more cash crops for the money like cotton gin and tobacco . The South was lead by General Lee who was a very cunning man he often split up his troops to blindside the north while under a front attack.
He was one of the best stragiesers , the north was lead by Lincon who hired generals but were still under his comand. the north how more numbers and suplies . All thow the south was out numbered they won the most of the battles exspecially in the begining. Becuase they were such good stragiesers . Killing more northern shoilders ussially in every battle . The south infiltrated behind enemy lines when the north finnally starting pushing them back and the south retreated. the north would just keep following them.
Everytime the south would stop they would get into another battle .Even thow the Emancipation Proclamation was in affect in the "rebel" or confetteret states . They completely ignored it and kept slavery finally when they excepted it the freed the slaves but making most of them go into the army and putting them as front line men. The ones that did not go into the army were either in debt by stayign in the south and borring land or working for the same person that owned them.
Other freed slaves went to the north to find a career in aguculture becuase that was realy all they knew how to do. When the war ended, lincoln felt that he could relax so he went to see a show at the theater. A man shot him in the back of the head and jumped off the balcony on to stage broke his ankle and ran. A young doctor in the house saved Lincoln's life by fingering out a blood clock forming in his head lincoln didnt die. Until a older docter came with 'experience' and decieded to find the bullet with a probe and killed Lincoln.
The guy who killed Lincoln went and hid in a ware house owned by a docter. when the docter found him in the ware house he fixxed his ankle , they caught the docter and threw him in jail for treason against the country. Because he helped the guy who killed Lincoln . All the docter said was i took a oath to help anyone who is sick or hurt and thats all i did how was i sapose to know he was the guy who killed Lincoln. All together the North won.
